How to Decode and Pick FO21 & TIBBE Keys for Ford and Jaguar with the 2M2 TANK 2 Pro

In this guide, we’ll walk through the process of decoding and picking the TIBBE key in the simplest way using the 2M2 TANK 2 Pro.

Step 1: Analyzing the Discs from the Ford Trunk Lock

First, let’s examine the discs removed from a Ford trunk lock . To begin, we need to identify the depth of each disc. Each disc has one large gap, which is crucial for decoding. Here’s the breakdown of the discs:

Depth #1 has 1 large gap and 3 smaller gaps
Depth #2 has 1 large gap and 3 smaller gaps
Depth #3 has 1 large gap and 3 smaller gaps
Depth #4 has only 1 large gap

The large gap on each disc is what we’ll use for decoding.

Step 2: Using the Decoder to Extract the Code

Now, let’s use the decoder to get the code from the lock. Insert the decoder into the lock and remove the pen. Push all the lifters to their maximum position. The last lifter should not move, which indicates its position (in this case, it’s position 4). This non-moving lifter acts as the tension bar for the lock .

Step 3: Feeling for the Swing in the Lifter

Next, gently touch each lifter and feel for any swinging. Start with the first lifter, which will likely show a minor swing. Don’t apply force—just lightly touch and feel the swing (see Image 4).

First position: Minor swing.
Second position: Minor swing.
Third position: Minor swing.
Fourth position: Major swing.
Fifth position: Minor swing.

The fourth position is the only one with a major swing.

Step 4: Decoding the Key

To extract the code, start from the first position. If you feel a minor swing, click and move to the next gap. Once you encounter a major swing at a large gap, that’s your code for the current position. Here’s how it works:

First position: Minor swing → Click → Major swing at large gap → Code: 2
Second position: Minor swing → Click → Minor swing → Click → Major swing at large gap → Code: 3
Third position: Tight space → Click → Tight again → Click → Major swing at large gap → Code: 3
Fourth position: Major swing → Code: 1
Fifth position: Tight space → Lock picked → Code: 2

The sixth position, which cannot be moved, is 4. So, the full code is: 2-3-3-1-2-4.
